A small ‘retired’ rectory, rebuilt about 1840 after having been on this probably pagan site for about six hundred years before.
House and studio are set in about 2 acres south-facing the estuary. There is a rather untamed garden with good walks off to left and right along the foreshore, giving direct access to the National Park’s “secret waterway”. The banks around the estuary are mostly heavily wooded with oaks running down to a rock strewn shore. A truly magical place!
You will never find more than 6 paying guests staying in the house at any one time as we only let out 3 bedrooms - 1 double, 1 twin or double, both en suite and one large double room that may be used as a family room with its private adjacent bathroom.
Guests share their own sitting room and dining room which are comfortably furnished in a relatively traditional manner (mainly collected old or antique furniture etc.)
The bedrooms have central heating, hairdriers, radio, television, security locks, tea and coffee making facilities and you enjoy all day access.
Pets: well behaved, non-venomous, non-biting pets are welcome.
